In order to study the feasibility of CCD multispectral data of CBERS-02 satellite and expand the geographic information of RS image sources,this paper,exemplified by CCD multispectral data of the CBERS-02 image,carried out some experiments on two kinds of rectification models and the influence of three different kinds of correction control materials on precision appraisal.

Based on the practice,the authors discuss using CBERS-02 image data to acquire some information such as ecological environment status by means of remote sensing and GIS,and the ecological change situation from 2000 to 2004 in Sichuan province,especially land use / coverage survey.

The data sources from the CBERS-02B satellite in the panchromatic band,multi-spectral band and IKONOS multi-spectra were used to perform the fusion test by DWT and DTCWT.

Using CCD images of the CBERS-02B satellite in combination with pre-earthquake ETM images,the authors investigated the river-damming disaster of the Jianjiang River valley,a severely earthquake-stricken area of the "5·12" Wenchuan strong earthquake,interpreted 54 river-damming segments totally 120.

Aimed at promoting the application of data obtained by China-made satellites,this paper deals with the gradual deepening of the "principal user" application mechanism of the 02B satellite by means of setting up the relevant organization,making practicable working arrangement and popularizing the application of CBERS-02B satellite data.
