      中国元代天文学家。号缘督,一说字敬夫,一说名敬,字子恭;今江西德兴人,一说今江西鄱阳人。宋王朝宗室之后,生卒年不详。著《革象新书》五卷,明初王祎曾删为二卷本,两种版本均流传至今。《革象新书》共分32篇,记述了中国传统天文学中的32个问题。每篇的题目都用四字表达,例如:"天道左旋"、"闰定四时"等。书中用浅显生动的形象比喻说明天文学问题。《革象新书》明确肯定日道远,月道近,进而在中国首先提出了"日之圆体大,月之圆体小"这一正确的论断。书中还提出了测定两颗恒星的上中天的"恒星时"时刻差来求它们之间的赤经差的新方法;批驳了邵雍在《皇极经世》中提出的宇宙循环论;此外还说明了小孔成像的原理。赵友钦也持有某些错误观点,例如,仍然把大地看作是平面,使用勾股法测量天体的远近。
