      用天然砾石或机轧碎(砾)石按最佳级配原理将粗、细料及粘土进行配料,拌和铺筑的路面,又称级配碎、砾石路面。具有较高的密实性、水稳性和一定的力学强度,所用石料须在4级以上,面层混合料塑性指数在8~14之间。基层混合料塑性指数不大于4。
  
  级配混合料可以根据粗、细料料源筛分结果。按规定要求,用计算法或图解法进行配料。施工时可用平地机、多铧犁或人工拌和。先摊铺粗料,次铺粘土,再铺细料,按最佳含水量边拌边洒水,松铺系数为1.3~1.4。混合料拌匀摊平后,先轻压2~3遍,再重压6~8遍,至表面无明显轮迹为止。
  
  为了减少路面的磨损和破坏并提高路面的平整度,多在级配碎(砾)石路面之上加铺磨耗层或保护层。磨耗层一般用20毫米以下具有级配的粒料并掺入结合料加水拌和铺成。保护层用掺有粘土的混合料铺筑,也可用干净的粗砂或小砾石铺筑。磨耗层及保护层亦常用于其他碎石路面。
