继续教育
继续教育对具有中等专业以上文化程度和专业知识的在职科技人员、管理人员等进行知识更新、补缺的教育。继续教育与成人教育、终身教育既有密切联系，又相区别，它是随着新科学技术不断发展而兴起的一种教育方式。由于新科学技术的不断推陈出新，使人们的知识量迅猛增长，知识老化、更新过程加快，在学校所学的知识不能满足生产工作的需要，必须进行知识更新。其内容广泛，大致可分两大类型:一类为见效型，包括知识更新、知识扩展等方面，具有针对性强、时间短、见效快等特点;另一类为提高型，包括攻读学位，补充学历缺陷和知识缺陷等。继续教育对各类专业人员智能结构的更新改组，创造能力的进一步发展有重要作用。继续教育和现代科技发展相联系，教学除采用传统的编班面授的形式外，大规模地利用电视、广播、录音、录像、卫星传播等现代化教育手段和形式。
