An upflow anaerobic sludge bed reactor─improved oxidation ditch─flocculation process combining with anaerobic and aerobiotic mechanism to treat with APMP effluent was introduced.

By testing the flow pattern of modified oxidation ditch adopted by Western Wastewater Treatment Plant in Handan City,the velocity distribution rule in straight sections and curved sections of the oxidation ditch was gained.

The effective measures are taken to tackle this problem,including adjusting the feed water quality,improving the biodegradability of sewage,changing the Carrousel oxidation ditch into a modified oxidation ditch,etc.
