性质:又名短杆菌肽C;苏联短杆菌肽。系短芽孢杆菌Bacillus brevis var. Gause-Brazhnikova  产生的环状肽类抗生素。盐酸盐为无色针状结晶。熔点281℃(分解),旋光度-292°;旋光度-295°(c=1.5,70%乙醇)。已完全合成。主要抗革兰氏阳性菌,对耐青霉素G的金葡菌亦有作用,抗革兰氏阴性菌活性微弱。毒性较大,LD50为17mg/kg(大鼠腹腔注射),现已很少使用。
