Basing on those characterizations and the shortcomings of Poisson model,the paper presents MMPP model as traffic model and describes the traffic by the inter-arrival time,and the modeling is carried out at two different levels: Grid and Virtual Organization(VO).

In this paper a Gamma Modulated Poisson Process(GMPP) is derived to model bursty packet traffics from Markov Modulated Poisson Process(MMPP) and Poisson Mixtures.
