This paper discusses the current utilization of the original edition foreign-language books in university library, analyzes the reasons why the utilization ratio of the foreign-language books is lower, and puts forward some countermeasures for increasing the utilization ratio of the original edition foreign-language books for serving better the teaching and scientific research of university.

This article sums up some cataloging methods of authorized foreign books title from the domestic libraries,and gives my own points of view about these methods.
