后勤力量的区分和配置。合理部署后勤机关、部队、分队，是保持指挥顺畅，联络方便，充分发挥后勤人力物力的作用，完成后勤保障任务的重要组织措施。它由后勤指挥员根据本级军事指挥员的要求及敌情、作战任务、交通和地形条件通盘考虑确定。基本要求是：与作战任务和作战部署相适应，把主要力量部署在主要方向；靠近前送后送道路，便于上下级后勤部署相衔接，组成运输补给网；疏散隐蔽、纵深梯次配置；掌握一定的预备力量，以应急需。做到便于保障，利于安全。后勤部署通常在作战准备阶段确定，作战中根据情况的发展变化及时进行调整。 配合陆军作战的海、 空军后勤部署，按照方面军（战区）后勤的统一要求，结合各自的任务以及基地（场站）设施情况确定。
