This phenomenon inspired the debate at the"Megablock Urbanisms"symposium,recently organized by Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture,Planning and Preservation and the Central Academy of Fine Arts\' School of Architecture.

From two aspects: ecological environment and urban development planning design of small cities and towns are comprehensively analyzed,which contain street design,urban planning,landscape design,urban character and other aspects in order to adapt to local conditions to show charms of small cities and towns.

It discusses problems of historical context in protection of Jinmen ancient city from protection historical basic pattern including two mountains & two waters and protection of historical street,which to protect specific historical pattern and view of ancient city and continue historical context and service for modernization.
