性质:萃取是在两个液相间进行。大部分萃取采用一个是水相。另一个是有机相。但有机相易使蛋白质等生物活性物质变性。最近,发现有一些高分子水溶液(如分子量从几千到几万的聚乙二醇硫酸盐水溶液)可以分为两个水相,蛋白质在两个水相中的溶解度有很大的差别。故可以利用双水相萃取过程分离蛋白质等溶于水的生物产品。例如用聚乙二醇(PEG Mr为6000)/磷酸钾系统从大肠杆菌匀浆中提取β-半乳糖苷酶。这是一个很有前途的新的分离方法,特别适用于生物工程得出的产品的分离。
