Through continuous adjustments of the technical parameters for raw material make-up,charging,melting,chemical composition analysis and casting as well as the improvement of the mold structure,the optimum parameters and production scheme for producing 165 mm thick BFe10-1-1 white brass bars are formulated with measures to remove the defects in the brass proposed.

Different amount of rare earth(RE)elements were added to the pure copper and BFe10-1-1 alloy,and a series of samples were prepared after melting,casting,rolling and heat treating.
