The determination of strength and mechanical parameters of massive jointed rock mass is a difficult problem.

Based on analyzing challenging problems in the jointed rock mass confronting the smooth blasting technology, a new blasting technology, a two-direction energy-gathering blasting technology, is introduced for the jointed rock mass.
