Based on a number of case studies,the paper demonstrates how grammaticalization theory can help understand the dynamicity and changeability of grammar,which are reflected in three respects:1)the dynamicity, changeability,and heterogeneous co-existence of grammatical entities;2)the dynamicity and changeability of grammatical categories;and 3)the dynamicity and changeability of grammatical means.
