1958年停办国内保险
【1958年停办国内保险]人民保险事业遭受的一次重大挫折。1958年秋，因受“共产风”的冲击和人民公社化“一大二公”，衣食住行、生老病死及任何灾害事故，都可由国家和集体包下来的“左”的影响，片面认为人民保险事业已经完成历史使命。10月西安财贸会议提出，“人民公社化以后，保险工作的作用已经消失，除国外保险业务必须继续办理外，国内保险业务应即停办”的建议。12月武汉全国财政会议正式作出“立即停办国内保险业务”的决定。从此，全国除上海、哈尔滨外，都停办了国内保险达20年之久。直至中国共产党第十一届三中全会以后，国务院于1979年批准恢复国内保险。
