Objective:To provide the evidence of the theory and method for treating the irritable bowel syndrome by Chinese Material Medica,based on treating effect of irritable bowel syndrome by the combination of Xiao Yao San(Carefree Powder) and Tong Xie Yao Fang(Important Formula for Painful diarrhea) according to harmonizing liver and spleen method.
目的:以调和肝脾立法,选逍遥散和痛泻要方合方为主加减,观察治疗肠易激综合征的疗效,为中药治疗肠易激综合征提供立法上的依据。

Objective To evaluate the quality of reports on randomized controlled trials in treatment of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) with Tong Xie Yao Fang(Important Formula for Painful Diarrhea).
目的客观评价以痛泻要方为基本方治疗肠易激综合征(IBS)随机对照试验的报告质量。
补充资料：胃气痛
胃气痛 胃气痛 病名。胃脘气机失调所致胃脘部疼痛。见《春脚集》卷二。《经验奇方》卷下：“胃气痛，此症甚者，每晨吐清水，或连头痛。制香附二钱，良姜一钱五分，砂仁末八分。如病重常吐清水，加吴茱萸二钱。右药，水煎热服。亦可由肝气犯胃而致，胃气痛，不能饮食，或能饮食而不能化，非痛非满，上吐下泻。治宜平肝和胃，方用白芍、甘草、当归、柴胡、茯苓、白芥子（《石室秘录》卷一）。参胃脘痛条。
