The concrete scheme of applying ant colony routing algorithm and flood routing algorithm to meter-reading network through power line carrier is expounded,and a networking mode that suits to meter-reading network through power line carrier is developed.

The promoted flooding route protocol was used to realize high-rise meter reading and the new error tolerance technique was adopted to improve the abilities of fault alarm and error tolerance.

This paper proposed AODV-D(AODV Based on Delay),an improved protocol,which can obtain delay of the link to neighbors and select the path through flooding algorithm based on delay,to solve performance decline problem of AODV under high network load.
