This article demonstrates that Optical Carrier Suppressed-Differential Phase-Shift Keying (OCS-DPSK) modulation format can be used to realize three key functions in Radio over Fiber (RoF) system: delivering downlink RoF signals, generating remote Local Oscillator (LO) signal, and re-modulating uplink signal.
