描述HydroceraBI.水角属，凤仙花科，只有H.triflora（L.）WightetArn.1种，分布于热带亚洲地区，我国海南岛亦产之。泽生、直立、秃净草本；叶狭，互生；花左右对称，1至数朵生于腋生的短花序柄上；萼片5，有颜色，覆瓦状排列，侧生的2枚平坦，下面一枚延伸成一短距；花瓣5，上面一枚在外，最大，凹陷；雄蕊5，花药粘合而环绕着雌蕊；子房5室，每室有胚珠2－3颗；核果浆果状，核骨质，5室。
