In order to raise the competing ability of their students,newly set up regional colleges in Western China need not only to improve their education mode,but also to reform the knowledge-based curricula structure in favor for a new one that is oriented toward developing students ability.

The article analyses the current situation of high learning physical education students abilities and the reason why the result is not ideal in ability,and suggests a series of corresponding strategies to promote P.

It is an important field to pay attention to and strengthen the training of students abilities,meanwhile it is meaningful and necessary to train stadents comprehensive abilities through combining basic classes and professional basic classes teaching.
