The results in this study indicated that the genetic variability in the Wenshan cattle population was high and there were two maternal origins to this cattle breed,viz.

The results showed that the growth rate, the weight and body measurement at brith,8 months,12 months and 24 months, the dressing percentage and meat percentage at 24 months of the Australian short cattle×Dabieshan cattle(F_ 1) were all higher than those of the local cattle.

The result showed that the growth rate, the weight and body measurement at birth, 6M, 12M and 18M, the dressing percentage and meat percentage at 24M of the Simmental X Dabieshan Cattle( FI ) are all higher than those of the Local cattle, and worth spreading.
