板场乡位于内乡县的西北部,伏牛山南麓,南、西、北三面与西峡交界,东与夏馆镇山水相连,省道豫51线穿境而过,总面积164平方公里。乡政府驻板场自然村,辖16个行政村,114个村民小组,1.1万人。宜林山坡21万亩,耕地面积7800亩,是一个山地面积大、耕地面积小、矿藏丰富的深山乡。
