| 善本 内容精善或在形式上有特色的珍贵难得的古书版本。其最初涵义，是指经过严格校勘、文字讹误较少的书本。也有人将珍贵罕见的书本视为善本。清代人认为足本（无缺卷 、未删削）、精本（精校、精注）、旧本（旧刻、旧抄）均为善本。20世纪80年代以后，中国学术界趋于一致的确定善本的标准是：历史文物性，指古籍的年代久远或可成为重要人物、事件的文献见证而具有文物价值；学术资料性，指古籍的内容精善或在学术上具有重要参考价值；艺术代表性，指古籍在印刷、装帧、用纸、用墨等方面具有反映当时技术发明、发展与成熟水平的代表性。简称三性原则。一部古籍 ，只要具备上述三种属性之一、二，即为善本。善本的时间界限，《中国古籍善本书总目》确定为明末（1644年）以前 。《中华人民共和国文物法》则将清乾隆六十年（1795）以前刊印的图书定为文物。 |
