【来源】
为桑科植物鸡桑的叶。
【植物形态】
鸡桑 落叶灌木或小乔木，高达15米。枝开展，无毛；树皮褐灰色，纵裂，单叶互生，卵圆形，长6～15厘米，宽4～10厘米，先端急尖或渐尖，基部截形或近心形，边缘有祖锯齿，有时3～5裂，两面均有短毛；托叶早落。穗状花序生于新枝的叶腋，单性，雌雄异株；雄花被片和雄蕊均为4枚，不育雌蕊陀螺形；雌花柱头2裂与花柱等长，宿存。聚花果成熟时呈暗紫色。 生于石灰岩的悬岩上或山坡上。分布广西，广东、福建、江西、湖南、安徽、山东、河北、河南、四川、贵州、云南、台湾等地。 本植物的根或根皮(小叶桑根)亦供药用，另详专条。
