This paper analyzed supporting mechanism of roadway with anchored bolt in small coal pillar and simulated roadway stability and surrounding rock\'s deformation of roadway in small coal pillar.

According to the action of cantilever rock seam on the overly- ing strata of coal body, the paper analyses the distribution rule of abutment pressure and the theoretical basis of narrow pillar drift and exploies the sup- port type of drifts in inclined and steep inclined coal seam under the condi- tion of narrow pillar drift.
