Methods: We analysised 147 cases of BPH patients who was operated TURP or prostatectomy in the first affiliateted hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from Jan, 2007 to Nov, 2008, we divided patients into BPH or BPH with histological prostatitis on basis of pathologic results and compared the differences between the serum prostate special antigen and prostate volum.
目的:研究单纯性前列腺增生患者和伴有组织学前列腺炎的前列腺增生患者在PSA水平和前列腺体积方面的差异。

男性生殖器附属腺中最大的实质性器官。由前列腺组织和肌组织构成。前列腺呈栗子形，底朝上，尖向下，位于膀胱的下方，包绕尿道的起始部。在腺的前面中线上，有一浅沟将腺分为左右两叶。前列腺上部为膀胱的下方，前面为耻骨联合，后面为直肠(距肛门上方约4～6cm），全长均被尿道通过。前列腺可分泌碱性液体，参与组成精液；另外还能分泌前列腺素。
