| 都江堰市 位于中国四川省中部。1990年人口52.71万，汉族为主，有满、蒙古、回、藏、羌等16个民族。因处都江堰灌区之首得名 。三国蜀汉置 都安县 ，元设灌州 ， 明初降 州置 灌县，1988年设都江堰市。西北为山地，东南为成都平原，山地为主。属中亚热带湿润气候区，雨量充沛，四季分明 。年降水量1225.4毫米，年均温15.7℃。有水稻、玉米、小麦、油菜籽、药材、蚕桑等多种农产品，是国家发展茶叶 、川芎、红梅、黄柏、杜仲、厚朴、猕猴桃生产基地。有野生植物2000多种，有川西植物园之称。有大熊猫 、金丝猴等国家一类保护动物，并设有大熊猫等珍稀动物重点保护区 。名胜古迹有都江堰水利工程、二王庙、青城山等。
