库蚊（Culex）
无脊椎动物，昆虫纲，双翅目，蚊科。又称家蚊。体多呈黄棕色，翅上无花斑，触须短，触角与口器近等长。刺吸式口器。静止时，身体与停落面平行。
雌蚊傍晚或夜间吸取人、畜的血，传播丝虫病和流行性乙型脑炎等。分布于全世界各地，幼虫多喜在房屋附近污水或水缸中孳生，成蚊多躲在室内黑暗、温暖、潮湿处越冬。中国常见的种类为致乏库蚊（Culexfatigans）、三带喙库蚊（Culextritaeniorhymchus）等。
