The drainage network codification method of Digital Watershed Model makes it possible to locate any section of drainage network directly and operate the topological relationship effectively.

Under the former constructed framework,the digital watershed model of Yellow River is developed based on the hillslope unit,which consists of six layers: the canopy storage,the snow storage,the surface storage,the top-soil storage,the middle-soil storage and the deep-soil storage.

Focusing on the TIFF file format used widely in remote sensing image,this paper deals with a method to read the gray scale information in discretionary polygon region(the basic calculation cell in the digital watershed model).

This paper summarizes the risk analysis and risk forecast for basin flood by collecting relevant literature and views from water conservancy department,and further introduces one of the commonly used methods home and abroad in the prediction against flood--"Flood Risk Map",as reference for future research.
