In order to establish the whole distribution of regional mining economic development and bring about high speed development of mining economy of the city,this paper has engaged in the economic divisions of mining industry according to the regional distribution and association characteristics of mineral resouces.

The limitations of division of economic regions in the past in China and the present situation of domestic economy has been analyzed, the paper pointed out the views, the division of economic regions is the duty of government because of its very effective role to surmount the barriers in current economy of China.

This paper,using gravity model,proposes a view to the division of economic regions for 91 countries(cities) in Jiangxi province,that is to say,Jiangxi can be divided into four economic zones: NanChang-Jiujiang,Jingcezhen-Yingtan,Xinyu-Pingxiang and Ganzhou economic zone.

Economic zone and division of economic regions, as one of the traditional themesresearched by economic geography are the important foundations for the governmentto work out the economic development programme, rational productivity distributionand regional economic cooperation.
