光华门
是建筑于李朝太祖在位时1395年修建的景福宫的正门。在东南西北四门中为南向门。奇名起自“光照四方，教化四方”之意。反映了当时成立新的国家时的高昂气概。光华门使用的是花岗石。中间有一道可通过的霓虹门，成彩虹状。上面建筑了2层门楼。内有朴正熙总统亲笔写的“光华门”。
首尔市政府动工于１９２５年３月，竣工于１９２６年。是一座文艺复兴样式的钢筋水凝土建筑物。第上１层，地下３层。
首尔市政厅广场在２００２年韩日世界杯曾汇集了数十万声援韩国足球队的汉城市民。从而受到了全世界的瞩目。这里不仅是金融和商业设施的中心，附近还有德寿宫，车流量非常的大。因此只有举办大型活动时，广场才会实行交通观管制。不过世界杯以后，该广场正逐渐被修建成单纯的市民广场。
