Based on abundant information of gamma-ray curves,combining wavelet analysis with fast Fourier transform,the Milankovitch cycle and its thickness of Cretaceous in Wushi sag is identified using frequency spectral analysis,then the sedimentation rates of each layer of Cretaceous in studied area are precisely calculated.

Based on marker bed resistivity,long-spaced gamma-gamma and gamma-ray curves\' abnormal shapes,have verified hosting varying regularity of 9 coal seams in the area,and 2 reverse faults with fault throws of 72.

Based on the natural gamma log curves of acid tuff and clay rocks of acid volcanic events,the author here queries the arguments that radioactive intensity of sedimentary strata will grow with the increasing argillaceous materials and that the natural gamma value and the empirical equation can be used to calculate contents of argillaceous materials.
