肠梗阻的征象之一。患者仰卧，显露全腹，检查者观察其腹部外形，可发现特殊的局限性腹壁膨隆或肿物，其为位置不定的鼓胀现象，大小不一，长短不等。有的为局部鼓包，有的具肠管外形。有时仅出现于腹部某一局部，单个或数个，有时数目多而遍及全腹。触之表面光滑、质软、囊感。叩诊多呈鼓音。应注意肠形的特点，如形状及其与腹痛发作的关系、分布、压痛等。此征除可见于小儿和显著消瘦者外，多属肠梗阻的征象，有重要诊断意义。可进一步行X线及其他实验室检查，必要时可行诊断性治疗或手术诊断治疗。
