性质:或称热搪。将较不活泼金属的制件浸在熔融的较活泼金属中而形成覆盖层的方法。可以减缓或防止腐蚀。两种金属须能生成二元合金。例如铁制件可在熔融的铝、锡或锌中进行热浸。往往加入第三种金属生成三元合金。例如铁不能与铅生成合金,但可在熔融的铅和锡中进行热浸。优点是:(1)操作和设备简单;(2)效果比电镀好。缺点是:(1)覆盖层较厚;(2)不规则的制件不容易形成均匀的膜;(3)只适于用低熔点金属(锌、锡、铝、铅)覆盖。
