With the rapid development of distance continuing education in China,there is a need to integrate the education information systems in different regions to offer a unified information management to eliminate the problems of the information scattering,information isolation,and information isolated islands for distance education.

In order to cater to the needs of WIP management,the paper brings forth an unified material information management model based on material process,virtual warehouse and a series of material operations.

The Origination and Construction of the Information Management and Information System Major;

The major of information management and information system(IMIS) aims to cultivate talents who are creative and adaptable in future practical work.
