In combination with that project, this paper describes the characteristics of HDPE pipeline and its construction process and method, points out several issues for attention in using HDPE pipelines.

Combined with concrete survey of project,it illustrates functional features of HDPE pipe,introduces important points & difficult points of project, and discusses main constructive methods from aspects of digging pitch、construction of basic pipe and installation of pipe.

In this paper the writer compared HDPE pipe with concrete pipe on cost of construction, time limit for a project, hydraulic condition and others, points out that HDPE pipe possesses some advantages such as lighter weight, lower comprehensive cost and shortening time in construction.
