A biological incubation experiment was conducted to testify the inhibition effect of three copper-based pesticides——Kocide 2000(KCD),Bordeaux nutrition protective powde(rBNPP)and Bordeaux mixture(BDM)——on rates of seed germination,root and stem elongation,and quality of sprouting seed for three plants(wheat,tomato and cole)in brown soil.

Kanamycin resistant plants were obtained from transformed cotyledons with petiole of 12～14 d seedling when the transformation system and the condition of inducing stem elongation were optimized.

The effects of ultraviolet-B(UV-B) radiation on stem elongation growth and the rate of nitric oxide(NO) release were evaluated in stems of pea(Pisum sativum L.

In order to study the molecular mechanism of wheat stem elongation,the differential display reverse transcription PCR(DD-RT-PCR) was used to identify the gene expression pattern during the basal stem elonga-tion in wheat plant.

In this study 46 maize inbred lines were evaluated for the traits of subcrown internode length,coleoptile length,subcrown internode and coleoptile total length,seedling emergence rate at 10 cm planting depth.
