（图像）阿弥陀之相好印相，有显密之别，密教有胎金之别，显教有坐立之别。密教中四方之四佛，惟阿閦等三佛，胎金两部，各改其方易其名，独于西方之阿弥陀无所改易，是为表无量寿佛之灭度无期也。其相好，胎藏界为金色之螺发形，结定印，目稍闭而视下，是乃法藏比丘出家成道之相。金刚界为金色之宝冠形，印相如前，是为在俗之当体，本有自然久远实成之相。显教之坐立相好，皆为螺发之出家形。其坐像如密教之胎金两部，结定印，是为照智而寂理体胎藏界之意，弥陀成道自利之相也。其立像分离此定印而分上下，举右手以五指表声闻，缘觉，菩萨，显佛，密佛之五界，下左手以五指表人，天，鬼，畜，地狱之五界（此十界之配立者密教也），是为寂而照，金刚界之意，即观无量寿经所说住立空中之弥陀，理智不二而分，真应不离而离，以来迎众生引接净土之化他相也（台宗网要）。其定印于脐前仰两手交叉竖第二指而相背，以左右拇指捻其端（胎曼大钞一图印集一）。愚案其两指之圆相为本有修生之两觉，又为胎金两界之圆圆。其分之为上右下左者即立像之来迎印也。
