【来源】
为木犀科植物牛矢果的叶及树皮。
【植物形态】
牛矢果 常绿灌木或小乔木，高可达7米，无毛。叶对生；矩圆形至倒披针状矩圆形，长7～15厘米，宽2～5厘米，先端短渐尖而锐，基部长楔尖，全缘或近上半部有极疏的小齿；纸质；叶柄长1.5～2.5厘米。圆锥花序腋生，短于叶柄.小花排列紧密；花冠白色或绿白色；小苞片卵状矩圆形或卵状三角形；花柄极短，长1～2毫米；萼4齿裂，长约1毫米，裂片钝头，有小睫毛；花冠裂片4，长约3毫米。核果矩圆形，长1.5～2毫米，熟时紫黑色。花期5月。 分布广东、广西、台湾等地。

全年可采。
【性味】
苦，寒。
【功用主治】
散脓血，治痈疮发背。
【用法与用量】
外用：煎成浓液敷。
