Comparison test of total hardness of the ground water quality by robust statistical techniques

Effects of water hardness on the dispersion of fine coal and kaolinite in coal slurry;

by adding Magnesium Chloride to slurry for improving water hardness,and solving the problem about the lower slurry water hardness causing the increase of concentrating machine overflowed fine slime,long cycle of pressure filtering machine prolonged,increasing input and output material time of filter press,and the slightness of thickener clear aqueous layer.

It was measured that coal slurry concentration、granular fraction distribution、ζ-potential、pH value、water hardness、sludge surface element composition、function group and wetting quality with such characteristic methods as XRD, IR, XPS, pH meter, Electrophoresis analyzer, Spectrophotometer, Contact angle analyzer, Laser particle size analyzer, Ion Chromatography, Nephelometer, and so on.
