Contextualization Research and Anti-modernization Narrative——Commentary on Benjamin Elman's Research on Chinese Intellectual History

The contemporary "country drama" such as Fence:Woman and the Dog,Wheel,Woman and Well,and Love in Countryside,participates in "modernization narrative" by means of video stories and reflects the changes of country drama\'s modernization narrative and the underlying causes during China\'s different historical periods.

This thesis tries to reveal the relations between the modern narrative mode and conscious embodiment of Chinese hometown novelist in the 20th century based on the narrative strategy of hometown novels.

All the following beneficial factors contribute to the birth of modern Chinese ballads in the early 20th century in China: the call of the specific epic, the creative needs and enthusiasm of modern ballads authors, the mature experience of western ballads, and the vernacular Chinese possibility for free writing by the new generation of ballad writers.

Given birth after the May 4th movement, the modern Chinese ballads is due to embody modern features endowed by the specific situation.

This great change forms YU Hua’s postmodern narration strategy of writing.

The article begins from the analysis on the religious spirit living in the writing idea of Shi Tiesheng, announcing to public the continuously losing and being alienated s destiny,the antinomy and the worry human being is facing before the modernity recounting, and the literature s field regards the individual saying with the religious spirit as the valid means to making it dissolving.
