在水帘洞右侧,有一块高约3 米的紫黑色片石兀然斜立,亦曲亦奇,石间有小不等的洞孔,体态酷似千年老梅之桩,玲珑俊透,生趣盎然。桩后岩上嵌大有张叔梅的诗碑,诗云:“老梅耐冷心如石,此石何年幻作梅?似恐暗香妨大隐,无言独到海山来。”诗意含蓄,耐人寻味,把梅花桩写活了。
