1.古代方士术数之一。起于《易纬干凿度》太乙行九宫法，盛于南北朝。神其说者，以为出自黄帝﹑风后及九天玄女，皆妄诞。其法以十干的乙﹑丙﹑丁为三奇，以戊﹑己﹑庚﹑辛﹑壬﹑癸为六仪。三奇六仪，分置九宫，而以甲统之，视其加临吉凶，以为趋避，故称"遁甲"。《后汉书．方术传序》:"其流又有风角﹑遁甲﹑七政﹑元气﹑六日七分﹑逢占﹑日者﹑挺专﹑须臾﹑孤虚之术，及望云省气﹑推处祥妖，时亦有以效于事也。"李贤注:"遁甲，推六甲之阴而隐遁也。今书《七志》有《遁甲经》。"前蜀贯休《古塞下曲》之一:"下营依遁甲，分帅把河隍。"《中国近代文论选．论科学之发达可以辟旧小说之荒谬思想》:"而俗夸遁甲术者，谓人能入地奔驰。"一说，"遁甲"当云"循甲"，以六甲循环推数，遁即"循"字。参阅宋赵彦卫《云麓漫钞》卷九。
