【异名】
虎胶(《医林纂要》)。
【来源】
为猫科动物虎的骨胳煎熬而成的胶。动物状态详"虎骨"条。
【制法】
取净虎骨锯成小段，置锅内加水煎熬，经24小时后，将煎液过滤，加入白糖、明矾末少许，搅匀澄清。如此反复煎约3次，乃将取得清液合并煎熬浓缩，至水分蒸发殆尽，加入少量黄酒。缓火浓缩，以胶汁稠粘呈深黄色为度。去尽余火，并用铜勺频频撩动，使热度发散，最后倾入胶模中。表面用白酒喷布，使呈现金黄色花沫。冷凝后，切成小方块。宜放于阴凉干燥处。

咸，温。 ①《医林纂要》："辛咸，热。" ②《四川中药志》："性温，味淡，无毒。"
【归经】
《四川中药志》："入肝、肾二经。"
【功用主治】
①《医林纂要》："功同骨而滋益从容。" ②《四川中药志》："补益气血，强健筋骨。治中风瘫痪，筋骨受风拘挛，四肢麻木，不能屈伸及痿躄。"
【用法与用量】
内服：用黄酒炖化，冲入药汁中，1～2钱；或入丸剂。
【宜忌】
血虚火盛者慎服。
【选方】
治顽固性中风瘫痪、半身不遂及手足痿废：老鹳草、血通(五花大血藤)煎汁，以黄酒熬化虎骨胶冲入药汁中，再加适量曲酒，每日二次，每次服半盅。(《四川中药志》)
