| 北汉（951～979） 中国五代时十国之一。一称东汉。刘崇所建。都晋阳(今山西太原南)，称太原府 。盛时疆域12州（一作10州），约为今山西省中部和北部。后汉隐帝时，刘崇官至河东节度使、太原尹。隐帝年少，大臣专权，刘崇见后汉政权不巩固，便在军事和财政上作了准备。后汉乾祐三年（ 950 ）十一月二十一日（951年1月1日） ，枢密使郭威迎立刘崇子贇 。广顺元年（951）正月 ，郭威称帝，改国号为周 ，史称后周 ，杀刘贇。刘崇即据河东12州称帝，改名旻，仍用后汉乾祐年号，国号汉，史称北汉或东汉。北汉是十国中唯一在北方之国。
北汉地瘠民贫，国力微弱。刘崇结辽为援，奉辽帝为叔皇帝。北汉曾联合辽兵，两度进攻后周，但都战败。刘崇卒，其子承钧(后改名刘钧，926～968)继立，奉辽帝为父皇帝。此后，后周、北宋频频向北汉进攻。北汉势蹙，屡靠辽兵增援才得以幸存。河东12州之地，盛唐时有27.9万余户。北汉建立后，战事频繁，兵役繁重，统治者强征17岁以上男子为兵；又滥征赋税以输贡辽，人民被迫逃亡以避战乱和苛敛。北汉亡时，在籍仅3.5万余户，为盛唐时的八分之一。 太平兴国四年（ 北汉广运六年，979），宋太宗率军亲征北汉。宋军先击溃辽援军，而后猛攻太原，北汉主刘继元（？～992）被迫出降，北汉亡。 |
