【性状】
本品为淡黄色至黄色的澄明液体，遇光受热色泽加深。
【鉴别】
(1) 取本品，照罗通定项下的鉴别(1)项试验，显相同的反应。 (2) 精密量取本品5ml 与水10ml，混匀后，依法测定旋光度（附录Ⅵ E），按标示 量计算，比旋度应为-237°以上（与硫酸延胡索乙素的区别）。
【检查】
pH值 应为2.5 ～4.0 （附录Ⅵ H）。 颜色 取本品5ml,与黄绿色9 号标准比色液（附录Ⅸ A 第一法）比较，不得更深。 其他 应符合注射剂项下有关的各项规定（附录Ⅰ B）。
【含量测定】
精密量取本品适量（约相当于硫酸罗通定60mg），置100ml量瓶中， 加0.5％硫酸溶液稀释至刻度，摇匀；精密量取5ml，置另一100ml量瓶中，再用0.5％硫 酸溶液稀释至刻度，摇匀，照分光光度法（附录Ⅳ A），在281nm的波长处测定吸收度， 按(C21H25NO4)2.H2SO4的吸收系数（Ｅ1% 1cm）为136 计算，即得。
