Base on the temperature/vegetation dryness index(TVDI),modified soiladjusted vegetation index(MSAVI)and land surface temperature(Ts) derived from MODIS satellite data were used to construct the MSAVI/Ts characteristic space,from which a dryness index—modified temperature/vegetation dryness index(MTVDI) was defined.
