This paper researched the influence of bracing kinds on lateral stiffness of multi-storey and high-rise braced steel-frames Through calculating the biggest sidesway of top-storey of the steel-frame braced by different types and layouts of bracing,.

The paper uses the finite element analysis software ANSYS,by analyzing and comparing the response of the high-rise building to some typical brace layout schemes under the effect of rare earthquake,discusses the seismic behavior of the brace layout mode to braced steel frame,so as to make it apply better in the construction structure\'s practice.
