呼玛河发源于伊勒呼里山北侧,由南向北,经塔河到白银纳后折向东南,在呼玛镇东南注入黑龙江。 呼玛县自然保护区冷水鱼栖息地于1982年经省政府批准建立。主要的保护对象是大马哈、鳇鱼等特产鱼类。呼玛县沿岸风光独好,丘陵和山区生长着茂密的原始林,沼泽地与河边长满了水葱、香蒲等水生植物,呼玛河水质纯净,无污染,水域内还有哲罗、细鳞大白鱼等冷水鱼类,鱼类均为野生。
