According to the actual engineering this paper presents such issues as:500kV expanding inner bridge wiring plan,main equipment selection and protection configuration etc.

Aiming at the actual circumstance of power network in China,an analysis is made of GE generator protection G60;the protection configuration is optimized according to the actualities of Guangdong Red Bay Power Generation Co.

Because the Chisan transmission line can not be equipped with circuit breaker and current transformer due to the limited topography condition,this paper proposes a special protection disposition scheme in which the line is protected by two HV transformer circuit breakers.

Combining with the application of fixed series capacitive compensation installation in Shen-bao 500 kV transmission and transformation project,this paper analyses the principle of series compensator protection disposition and setting,it provides the reference for the design and operation of similar series compensator protection.

This paper also puts up a proposal for design?operating?protection scheme and setting of transformer.

The performance and function of protective characteristic of MOV in primary system and protection scheme of MOV in secondary system are analysed with its application in 500 kV Yang-Huai transmission system.

To ensure the Power Supply System operates safely, making the study on Protection scheme and setting calculation of AT high-speed railway traction power supply system is of important theoretical and practical significance.
